Portable Media Devices. Are they a risk?

Quite often I am spurred on to write about a subject based on news that I read. This time it was a study by Gartner that indicates portable media devices such as those used as mp3 players etc, are risks to a company. Now when I read this I immediately thought, yeah I agree with that. Then I thought really that is just common sense, and they are in many ways a little behind the times with things.
